I’ve flown hundreds of times, and nothing prepared me for that landing. There was a sudden jerk, and the plane tilted violently. People were screaming, kids were crying. I honestly thought we were going to crash.
Afterward, Delta was pretty good. They got us off the plane quickly and into buses. They provided hotel rooms and food vouchers. But honestly, the mental side of it is the hardest. I keep replaying the moment in my head.
