What is the difference between atoms and molecules?

Answer 1

Chad Pitts

Atoms are the basic units of matter, consisting of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Molecules are formed when two or more atoms bond together chemically. While atoms represent single elements, molecules can consist of the same or different elements. For example, O2 is a molecule of two oxygen atoms, whereas H2O is a molecule of hydrogen and oxygen.
