What are the key differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

Answer 1

Diana Beck

Prokaryotic cells lack a defined nucleus and membrane-bound organelles, with DNA located in the nucleoid. They are generally smaller and simpler, found in bacteria and archaea. Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles, are larger and more complex, and are found in plants, animals, fungi, and protists.
