How do different parenting styles affect a child's development and behavior?

Answer 1

Andre Lewis

Parenting styles significantly influence a child’s development and behavior. Authoritative parenting, characterized by warmth and structure, often leads to well-adjusted children with high self-esteem and good social skills. In contrast, authoritarian parenting, marked by strictness and lack of warmth, can result in children with lower self-esteem and higher levels of anxiety. Permissive parenting, which is indulgent and lacks discipline, may lead to behavioral issues and poor academic performance. Uninvolved parenting, characterized by neglect, can severely hinder a child’s emotional and social development.
